It's almost kind of fun to peel vegetables now, believe it or not. The blades are sharp, and the peeling is smooth and precise. Great peeler. I bought this peeler for my wife to be. It's a little pricey, until you use it, and realize why you spent the money. The handle is comfortable, and if this thing gives out, I would buy another.
It does an above average job on all the things I have tried it on. I think that tends to happen with most peelers that I have used though.
Poor lefties.forgotten again. You have to turn it around and really work hard to make it do what it is supposed to if you are left-handed.
My major problem with this peeler is that the little scooping edge is only made for right-handers. This peeler was built for a right-handed world.
I really do like this peeler. My two "gripes" about it would be that sometimes the peel sticks to it and you have to clear the cutting blade to keep going.
Why not put one on both sides.
This is the best peeler I've ever tried. Try peeling a turnip with any other peeler.can't be done. 5 Stars*****. I peeled a Turnip. Seem silly. Easy to hold, easy to use, easy to clean.
It makes peeling potatoes, carrots, etc SO EASY. But with this little peeler, it's a BREEZE.
This simple little peeler is DEFINITELY worth the purchase (and heck, it might even improve your marriage/relationship in the process). (yes, that's shock in my voice because I'm not used to things doing what they claim).
It's actually FUN to use because it's smooth and quick and it WORKS. Unlike me, he doesn't enjoy the actual cooking process, but he's really getting into the peeling, chopping, etc parts -- and hey, I'll take all the help I can get.
I am SO THRILLED to have this peeler. I had one of those old peelers you used back in the day which clogged up and scraped your knuckles every so often.
Since this purchase (along with a set of knives purchased from somewhere else), my husband has happily taken on the role as the official prep-chef of the house and I love that he enjoys helping me in the kitchen.
very smooth action, had to get used to it at first but its head and shoulders above any peeler I have ever owned
